Dahi Bhalla (Dahi Vada) is a popular snack in Asia (Pakistan & India). The original recipe contains mashed dall which soaked overnight, but the other versions contain chickpea powder. This dish is served with sweet and green chutney.
Note: All the ingredients use in this recipe are 100% halal.
Ingredients for making the Bura in dahi bhalla recipe:
- 1 cup urad (mash ki dal)
- 1/2 cup moong dal which has been soaked for 1h
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2tsp salt
- 1/2 garam masala
- 1tsp crushed cumin seed
Ingredients for making the bondi:
- 1cup chick pea flour
- 1/4cup water
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
Ingredients for Making the meethi chatni:
- 1/2 litre of water
- 10g tamarind
- 1tbsp red chilli powder
- 1cup sugar
- 1tbsp salt
Other Ingredients for Dahi Bhalla:
- red chili powder
- 1 cup boiled potatoes cut into cubes
- One cup boiled chickpeas
- Green chilli (One) chopped
- Only 1 bunch coriander
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1 chopped onion
